  I know a speaker who stated, “Your job as a leader is to adapt to the needs of your followers.” I vehemently disagree: “The role as a leader is to create a vision and path toward an obtainable goal as a team.” I believe it is a mentality, a way of thinking, and a way of performing, which sets the company’s standard, tone, and culture. Communication is how we convey the message, through what is said or assumed, though we are not usually not clear with what we mean.

  Being a business owner is one of your company’s most significant challenges; being a good business owner takes thought, planning, and insight into your employees’ needs, even though they may not know when you are doing it. What is it that separates a “Boss” from a “Leader”? Most of us have never had a mentor, a tutor, or even a formal business education. In this presentation, we will spell out in real-life experiences what differentiates a Boss and a Leader (It may not mean what you think.)
